揭秘消防队---记MYP9年级AOI活动

小时候，我们的玩具中总是有那涂着红漆，“呜呼呜呼”响的救护车。英语牛津课本里，Alice与她的小伙伴的对话里，她的小伙伴总是诉说着他长大后对成为消防员的憧憬。在我们慢慢长大的过程中，这些问题也常常充斥于我们的脑海中。救火车里都装了些什么？112电话系统是如何工作的？灭火器的内容物是什么？最近，我们终于有机会一解我们的疑问，来到了上海消防局，深入地了解关于救火的知识。

当校车开入消防局，朱红色的车库大门便缓缓升起，几辆不同型号的救火车赫然映入眼帘。踏下校车，一位消防员热情地向我们做着自我介绍，并带领着我们开始了为期半天的参观。他向我们讲述了不同的救火车的作用，有的拥有“小云梯”，可以轻易登上十层楼；有的装有所有类型的灭火器；还有全能型救火车，功能不仅仅只有救火，连戒指取不下来，车上都有装备可以解决。车库内最让我们惊喜、感叹的应当是有三层楼高的铜管。消防员叔叔告诉我们，每当接到火警的时候，消防员为了快速出警，都会从铜管滑下，穿上防火服，在一分钟之内准备完毕。

在接下来的半小时里，我们在放映室里观看了关于消防安全的短片。短片深刻地讲述了火灾对于人们的影响，以及避免火灾的重要性。同时，我们还学习了火灾的几种类型、如何使用灭火器等平时极少接触的知识。

虽然火灾的发生几率并不高，然而一旦发生在自己的身边，救火知识却是救命的关键。此次的AOI对于我们受益匪浅。这不仅仅只是如往常一般的参观，更是对于生命的一份承诺和保护。

Visit Shanghai Fire Station

In our childhood, there was a toy car which was painted in red, there was a dream to be a firefighter. But when we grew up, we started to think. We started to ask question like what is inside a fire engine? How do those fire extinguishers work? Well, in this AOI, we got a chance to visit a fire station in Shanghai to find the answer of those questions and learn more knowledge about fire fighting.

When we arrived the fire station, two red garage doors opened. In the garage, there are three different fire engines. A passionate firefighter introduced those fire engines one by one for us. One of them has a long ladder, which can help them to climb ten stories high. Another one has all kinds of fire extinguishers. There is also a “versatile” fire engine, which can not only put out fires, but also has some tools which can take the ring off if you can’t take it off. However, the things that surprised us the most in that garage are the three-stories-high copper pipes. The firefighter told us that when there is a fire alarm, all the firefighters have to slide down from the pipe, put on fire suits and get ready in the fire engine in one minute.

In the next half hours, we watched a video about the fire accidents in China and some fire safety things. In that video, we learned how fire accidents affect people and the importance to avoid fire accident. The also learned several types of fire accidents, fire extinguishers and how to use a fire extinguisher, which are the knowledge we never heard about.

Although the fire accident doesn’t always happen around us, the knowledge of fire extinguish is important because it will save our life in some emergencies. We learned a lot from this AOI. This was not just a visit, it was a commitment of our safety.
