Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall

Throughout the AOI activity at Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, I knew more about the culture and history of Shanghai. I used to think I knew a lot about here, but actually there is more to it than I could ever imagine.

One thing I realized is that Shanghai has a lot of amazing architecture. My favourite one was Jing An Temple. Compared ot the architecture now days , Jing An Temple had more cavings and delicate things put into it . The Temples we re-build today have somewhat lost the origin of the purpose before. Somehow, the thoughts of the the people could not be found, the billian ideas they had was not recorded but I believe it is in our mind. Maybe some of us inherited the thoughts of our ancestors.

It was not easy for the people that lived before us. What about Opium? It was a serious problem and very hard to cure. I think we should appreciate the life we have now.

Maybe we have been too into learning the culture about other countries and think we know a lot about our own nationality, but sometimes we don’t.
