ILLUMINO特别项目“美丽课堂”世外开讲

 

425日下午,学生会学术部邀请到全球最大奢侈品集团——法国LVMH(路威酩轩)集团旗下的著名化妆品零售商SEPHORA丝芙兰)公司一行四人来我校百花街分部为高年级同学进行ILLUMINO特别项目“美丽课堂”的宣讲。

通过PPT展示、现场问答、分发小礼物、学生模特演示等方法,SEPHORA以轻松欢快的方式和大家就护肤、美容及学生妆、职业妆技巧以及面试着装礼仪等问题进行了充分的交流。很多同学还当场与培训师建立了微信联系以获取护肤化妆、面试礼仪等方面更进一步的知识。

这次活动同学们受益良多,说起美容和化妆,往往有人会觉得这是虚荣和肤浅的象征,但是如果你深入到活动中,就会发现化妆美容除了是社交礼仪必不可少的一部分以外,学术在这个领域也无处不在。

从科学层面上来说,现代美妆用品一般都是经由一系列化学、生物学、物理学等科学研究、设计、测试后开发的产品,最终这些产品还必须得到科学地使用。比如.一个电动洗脸刷就使用硅以阻止细菌感染,符合人体工学,外观精致,部件合理。再比如,绿色腮红利用对比色的原理调和红色的肌肤。。。美妆产品各有各的使用方法,随便买一个产品胡乱涂脸己经不是现代人的人生方式了。

从时尚角度来观察,很显然美妆用品体现了创造自身之美的艺术性。

从心理学角度来分析,美妆用品的使用也代表了对身体的控制和对自我的认同与尊重。

最后从商务的角度切入,我们可以学习到全球知名企业SEPHORA是如何通过公益宣讲建立自己的品牌商誉和社会形象的。

衣食住行、柴米油盐都是我们最日常的生活,看似平淡,但每一件事物都是可以从专业学术的眼光来重新审视的,这正是ILLUMINO特别项目存在的意义。

The first Illumino Special Lecture started off in the auditorium on Friday, April 25th, 2014. The themes were skincare and makeup, and the lecturers came from the renowned French cosmetics corporation Sephora. The lecture itself had a beautiful name: Beauty Class.

Much was happening on the campus: There were the Fundraising, Linguistics Olympiad, Exchange Program, and Field Trip. Thus, it was only an unsurprising surprise that the Beauty Class began on a small scale.

       To tell the truth, it was really a pity that the audience number was small. The present audience members benefitted a lot from the lecture, and many professional questions and answers about cosmetics and makeup were exchanged.

       The common belief is that cosmetics is the symbol of vanity and superficial beauty. However, the Beauty Class today proved this belief to be merely a myth. The success of cosmetics corporations is the success of a combination of fashion, science and business strategies.

     If one views Beauty Class with the lens of science, one is bound to find that the cosmetics are designed scientifically, tested scientifically, and are meant to be used scientifically. The silicon on the sonic skin-cleansing device helps insulate bacterial infection; the make-up base and loose powder together keeps dust off the user’s cheeks; green blush mediates the reddish skin, and that is as far as the knowledge of complementary colors go.

     If one views Beauty Class with the lens of business, one will see what effort Sephora has made to establish reputation. The Beauty Class project gives entirely free and totally informative lectures to potential consumers.

Last but not least, if one views Beauty Class with the lens of fashion, it is obvious that cosmetics is linked to art of generating beauty in oneself. Furthermore, the use of cosmetics symbolizes autonomy—the control over one’s body is exercised.

It was not an exaggeration to say that the Beauty Class today began on a low note and ended on a high one. Especially during the second part of the lecture, Beauty Class grew very interactive. Small gifts and coupons were distributed, and the atmosphere was more than fine. After the lecture, some audience members even established WeChat connections with the lecturers to reach beauty experts more conveniently.
